Logistics at full potential
At GXO, Quality, Environment, Safety and Health (QESH) are at the heart of how we operate. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a full-time QESH Business Partner for South-East Netherlands, supporting 11 sites.
In this role, you’ll lead a team of QESH Officers and set the standard for how QESH is embedded across your region. You’ll partner with site leaders to strengthen safety performance, ensure robust management systems, and keep quality, security and environmental compliance on track—aligned with the QESH Northern Europe / BeNe & Nordics policy and way of working.
What you do on a typical day
- Lead and coach a team of QESH Officers, supporting 11 sites across the South-East region
- Drive local rollout of corporate safety culture initiatives, including “Road to Zero.”
- Set a clear operating rhythm and structured ways of working so the team delivers consistently and effectively
- Act as senior QESH advisor—supporting escalated/complex cases and ensuring pragmatic, business-ready guidance for stakeholders
- Plan and conduct both scheduled and unannounced site audits, checks and inspections across key QESH topics
- Support external audits end-to-end (preparation, on-site support and follow-up) when risk, compliance or customer requirements demand it
- Co-develop and implement QESH policies, procedures and management system standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 13485) across the region
- Produce clear audit/inspection reports, driving corrective actions and continuous improvement with site teams and QESH Officers
- Partner with site leadership and external specialists to resolve gaps, interpret legal requirements, and intervene quickly on major nonconformities or emergencies
- Champion a zero-incident mindset and support the QESH Operations Manager BeNe with regional projects and reporting
What you need to succeed at GXO
- Strong working knowledge of management systems and standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 13485 and other site-relevant requirements)
- Broad Health & Safety experience, including a solid understanding of Dangerous Goods legislation
- Proven people leadership—able to coach, challenge and develop a QESH/H&S team
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English; Dutch is a strong plus
- Self-driven, resilient and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, changing environment
- High standards and a constructive, critical mindset—proactive, results-focused, and able to build trust with stakeholders at all levels
What we offer you
- A salary appropriate to your knowledge and experience, bonus, lease car, smartphone, and laptop
- The opportunity to develop yourself, both through learning on the job and by attending courses/training
- A strong team of QESH professionals who are always open to sparring, helping you where necessary and making the work more fun
