Job Overview

We are seeking a Quality & Reliability Engineer to support our Advanced Quality Engineering (AQE) team in driving quality excellence during new product development. This role focuses on executing Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities, ensuring compliance with aerospace standards and customer requirements. You will work closely with the current AQE Lead, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to implement robust quality processes and deliver flawless product launches.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • APQP Execution: Support APQP deliverables throughout the Lean PD process, including documentation, gate reviews, and audits.
  • Quality Planning: Develop and maintain Quality Inspection Plans (QIPs) based on engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Critical Characteristics: Identify and document key/critical characteristics for process control.
  • Measurement Systems: Coordinate gaging requirements internally and with suppliers and ensure calibration compliance.
  • Data Analysis: Collect and analyse quality metrics (PPM, scrap, CPK, COPQ) using tools like Minitab or JMP to support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Risk Management: Participate and facilitate in design and process FMEAs and ensure alignment with TE and customer standards.
  • Digital Documentation: Assist in implementing digital PPAPs and integrating AS9145 requirements into NPI processes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to lessons learned and standardization initiatives (FAI, PPAP, DQIP).

 

 

 

What your background should look like

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
  • Experience in Quality Engineering within aerospace or similar regulated industry.
  • Experience with APQP, FMEA, PPAP, and statistical analysis tools.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Strong problem-solving skills; knowledge of root cause analysis tools (Ishikawa, 5 Why, 8D).
  • Proficiency in MS Office and quality software (Minitab/JMP).
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10–15% for supplier and customer support.
