You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our Tonganoxie manufacturing site adheres to the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance. By leading the development and monitoring of site quality systems, you will influence the implementation of global standards and governmental regulations, including FSMA and HACCP. You will own the site’s audit readiness and drive a culture of continuous improvement to safeguard product integrity and consumer trust.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality Program Management: Lead the implementation and maintenance of documentation systems to ensure 100% compliance with cGMP, FSMA, and Hill’s Global Quality Standards.
  • Audit & CAPA Leadership: Manage the internal audit program and facilitate the timely resolution of all internal and external audit findings through a robust Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) process.
  • Regulatory readiness - FDA, USDA, SQF, KDA, audits
  • Product Release Oversight: Supervise the product release process, ensuring all production documentation meets finished product criteria and HACCP principles prior to distribution.
  • Continuous Improvement: Spearhead the site’s Management of Change (eMOC) and calibration programs to mitigate quality risks during operational transitions.
  • Consumer Advocacy: Lead investigations into customer complaints, identifying root causes to drive proactive improvements at the site level.
  • Team Development: Direct and coach a team of Quality professionals, fostering a high-performance environment through clear goal setting and performance appraisals.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field (Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, or related scientific discipline).
  • Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience in a Food, Drug, or GMP-regulated environment.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a Quality-specific role (QA/QC/FS)
  • Minimum 3 years of proven supervisory/people leadership experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of FDA regulations (113, 507 CFR) and experience managing/responding to regulatory inspections. (e.i. USDA, SQF)
  • Proficiency in using enterprise systems (e.g., SAP) for data management and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified in HACCP, Food Defense, or as a Quality Auditor.
  • Prior experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.
  • Strong ability to influence organizational change and communicate complex technical frameworks to diverse stakeholders.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset for decision-making.(e.g. Looker Studio, Domo, etc)
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on collaborative problem-solving

 

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $96,800.00 - $137,000.00 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
