About the role
Are you excited by biotechnology and enzyme science, and driven to create next‑generation nutritional solutions?
We’re seeking a Senior RD&A Technologist to join our high‑performance Enzymes Application Team in Naas, taking a high-impact role in animal‑nutrition enzyme development while also driving breakthrough innovation across multiple end use markets. This is a chance to work at pace, shape a growing enzyme portfolio, and influence how next‑generation nutritional and process‑enhancing solutions come to life for customers worldwide.
In this role, you’ll help build and optimize an enzyme portfolio that advances animal nutrition and contributes to broader food and beverage applications. Working as a key member of our Enzyme Applications Team, you’ll drive experimental design, analytical assessments, and formulation improvements that translate into customer‑ready solutions.
Sitting at the intersection of biotechnology, nutrition, and commercial impact — this role is ideal for someone who wants to shape next‑generation enzyme technologies for global markets.
Key responsibilities

Support in the development and delivery of next‑generation enzyme technologies to market as well as the optimization of existing portfolio to deliver maximum value for our customers.

Run hands‑on laboratory experiments to evaluate enzyme functionality across multiple End Use Markets including Animal Nutrition, Human Nutrition, Bakery, Alcoholic & Nutritional Beverage.

Lead the design, screening, and optimization of enzyme systems for animal nutrition applications by characterizing current and future enzyme technologies, including activity, stability, and kinetic properties.

Develop and validate enzyme modes of action related to digestibility, nutrient release, gut health, and feed efficiency.

Translate scientific insights into practical, scalable solutions for customers and industry partners.

Analyse complex datasets, interpret experimental results, and deliver clear technical reports and presentations to a wide range of internal & external stakeholders including customers

Collaborate closely with cross‑functional experts in R&D, IP, Regulatory, Quality, and Commercial teams to deliver science‑backed, customer‑focused enzyme solutions.

Champion safety, quality, and regulatory excellence by ensuring all laboratory work meets the highest operational standards.

Qualifications and skills
- PhD preferable but not essential
- A genuine curiosity and passion for biotechnology, with a drive to shape the future of innovation in the food, feed and beverage industry.
- Comfortable working at speed across multiple projects, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring timely, high‑quality delivery of results
- An understanding of enzyme functionality and the transformative impact enzymes bring to food, beverage and feed industrial applications & production processes
- Familiarity with enzyme characterisation, including the development, optimisation, and interpretation of enzyme assays and enzyme analytical methodologies
- Ability to analyse complex datasets, extract meaningful insights, and translate them into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders
- Laboratory proficiency spanning GLP practices, method validation, and routine use of analytical instrumentation, including spectrophotometry and HPLC.
