Position Title: Paediatric Registrar (Hospital Based) 
Classification: Registrar Year 1 HM25 - Registrar Year 6 and thereafter HM30
Salary per hour (exc. super): as per award
Hours per fortnight: 86
Employment Status: Full Time/Fixed Term (03/08/2026 - 31/01/2027)

Other requirements: 2026 Flu Vaccination

The Paediatrics Registrar meets the rural rotation requirements for advanced training in General Paediatrics and provides an opportunity to experience broad, general paediatric practice.

Other benefits of this role include:

• Exposure to the clinical management of paediatric patients across the full hospital journey, from ED and ICU through to outpatient follow-up.
• Participation in video-conference reviews for smaller hospitals across the Loddon-Mallee region, where neonates and children are managed locally by VMOs with advanced paediatric skills.
• Involvement in a shared-care oncology model with Monash Children’s Hospital and The Royal Children’s Hospital, including management of febrile neutropenia and basic chemotherapy.
• Collaboration with the Monash University Clinical School, with opportunities for teaching and supervision of medical students and trainees.
• Working within a small, flexible service where new ideas are welcomed and can be implemented during your time at Bendigo Health.

Your New Division

The Clinical Operations Division encompasses acute, allied health, cancer and mental health services.  We provide a wide range of general medical, surgical and specialty services including but not limited to; Oncology, Cardiology, Renal, Emergency, Women’s and Children’s, Critical Care, Specialist Clinics, Cancer Clinics and Mental Health Services. Our Allied Health teams provide a diverse range of programs and person centred care in inpatient, outpatient, community, home and residential care settings.
