As the Research & Insights Manager, Americas, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Allianz Travel’s strategic direction through market intelligence, customer insights, and forward‑looking analysis. This is a highly visible, high‑impact role that translates complex data into clear, compelling insights that guide senior leadership decision‑making, product strategy, growth initiatives, and customer experience innovation across regional markets. The Americas region is made up of Canada, US and Latin America.

 

Reporting to the Head of Intelligence, Product Strategy & Innovation, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, partnering across functions and with external providers to ensure strategic decisions are grounded in robust insights and a deep understanding of evolving market dynamics.

 

Way of Working - This position follows a Hybrid work arrangement that includes two in-office days (Tuesdays and Thursdays) at our office in Cambridge, Ontario

 

What You Will Do

  • Lead the research and insights strategy for the Travel Line of Business across the Americas.
  • Deliver actionable market, customer, and competitive insights to guide strategy, product direction, and growth.
  • Translate data into clear recommendations using insight frameworks and measurable KPIs for senior leaders.
  • Provide foresight on trends, innovation, and market opportunities, including partnerships and M&A landscapes.
  • Act as the internal customer advocate, influencing and shaping customer experience initiatives.
  • Lead cross‑functional, cross‑regional projects spanning strategy, market research, and communications.
  • Support sales and commercial efforts, including global tenders, with targeted insights and positioning.
  • Leverage analytics, BI, and AI‑enabled tools responsibly to enhance insight quality and decision‑making.
  • Build strong business cases supported by comprehensive quantitative analysis

 

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree.  Advanced degree preferred (MBA, Strategy, Innovation, Analytics, or related field).
  • 8+ years of experience in market research, strategy, consultancy, or insights, ideally in insurance, travel, or regulated industries.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into compelling narratives.
  • Proven experience influencing senior stakeholders and leading cross‑functional, international initiatives.
  • Expertise in trend analysis, scenario planning, and strategic foresight.
  • Commercial mindset with technical fluency, including BI tools, dashboards, and advanced analytics/AI.
  • Srong proficiency in Excel and quantitative data analysis
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, confident presentation to executive audiences.
  • Experience working in global matrixed organization and collaborating with international teams.
  • Strong English communication skills required (spoken and written)

 

 

What we offer

 

Annualized base pay range is $80,460 - $117,900 CAD

 

Actual base pay may vary based upon factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, internal equity of peers, and geographic location. Employees may also qualify for performance-based bonuses, merit increases, and other incentives based on individual and company performance. The availability and amount of these additional compensation elements are determined by company policy and may vary.
