Review Editor, Life Sciences - Chinese Speaking

The Review Editor, Scientific Journal evaluates manuscript submissions for scientific rigor and their potential for publication in JoVE Journal. As a key member of the Review team, this role upholds the scientific integrity of the Journal and directly supports our mission to advance research through visualization.

Responsibilities • Make final publication decisions by evaluating the scientific validity of submitted manuscripts and their suitability for visualizing the protocol • Review new submissions to ensure that the manuscript fits the scope of the journal and our publication standards • Apply prompt engineering techniques to validate reviewer reports for relevance, completeness, and alignment with journal standards, ensuring consistency while maintaining editorial quality • Use custom AI tools, custom GPTs, and prompt-based workflows to perform pre-QC checks such as identifying formatting issues, missing sections, language clarity, and guideline adherence before peer review • Accelerate article publication through close collaboration with the Production team to move accepted manuscripts efficiently through the production pipeline • Ensure timely editorial workflows by coordinating with peer review and the editorial team to meet review and decision deadlines
