About our Ghana Private Schools network: At Rising, we’re redefining possibilities for low-cost private education in Africa. Here in Ghana, our work began when we acquired the inspiring Omega School Network in 2020. We currently operate 12 low-fee private schools that are in an exciting phase of a transformation process – equipped with advanced teaching and learning methods, great curriculum, intensive teacher coaching and actionable data to help teachers and school leaders bring quality to every classroom. About the role: It’s an exciting time for the team at Rising. We are looking for driven, committed and passionate teachers ready to drive forward our mission to create the best schools and deliver transformational teaching and learning experiences for every student. As a Rising Teacher, you’ll collaborate closely with your School Leader and the School Improvement team to use learning and assessment data to continuously deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons that spark curiosity and foster measurable learning gains for students. You’ll create safe and respectful classrooms where students feel empowered, and execute Positive Behaviors for Learning (PB4L) techniques at all times. Our structured support—grounded in the Rising Institute training, robust lesson guidelines, and continuous Communities of Practice; ensures our teachers are set up to thrive and grow. The Rising Teacher will: • Plan and deliver well-structured, engaging lessons that adhere to Rising’s Lesson guidelines and incorporate real-life connections to deepen student understanding. • Analyze student assessment data termly to identify learning gaps, adjust instructional plans, and track progress through our teacher analysis sheets. • Implement our Positive Behaviors for Learning (PB4L) routines daily in the classroom and address any disciplinary issues constructively with child safeguarding in mind. • Establish clear classroom expectations, reinforce our 4Hs (Happy, Hardworking, Helpful, Honest), and celebrate student successes. • Provide timely, in-depth feedback by grading assignments and checking homework weekly to support student growth. • Actively participate in all training sessions and weekly Communities of Practice, sharing reflections and integrating observation feedback into your practice. • Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessment results, and student progress updates in School Vitals/Bambai dashboards. • Foster open and effective communication with parents or guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress, goals, and challenges.
Location and reporting: This is a full-time on-site position. The Rising Teacher will report directly to the School Leader in your assigned school.
