Job Overview
PURPOSE
Analyze and solve production engineering and new project qualification issues with the objective of establishing the Center of Excellence for Manufacturing Engineering (ME) within the company. Lead the development of ME technical standards, process optimization methodologies, cross-factory technical support, and talent empowerment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
CoE System Development (Core)
(i)Lead the documentation of technical standards, SoPs, and methodologies for core ME areas (e.g. process optimization) to build a replicable CoE knowledge repository
(ii) Analyze ME pain points across factories, develop standardized solutions and drive implementation and validation.
Cross-Function Collaboration & Problem Solving
(collaborate with production, quality, and Product Engineering functions to resolve ME-related issue in NPI and mass production (e.g., process stability, equipment compatibility)
(ii)Regularly prepare ME CoE operation reports (e.g., problem-solving lessons learnt) to drive continuous improvement
Team Management & Empowerment
(i) Build the ME CoE team, define member roles, and develop performance appraisal and career development plans.
(ii) Organize cross-factory ME technical training and case-sharing sessions to improve the professional capabilities of all team members and build an expert talent pipeline in the field
Job Requirements
Bachelor degree and mechanical related background
Total Working experience 10 years above
Team management experience 3 years above, COE/technical team setup experiences preferred
Over 8 years Connector and / or Cable manufacturing engineering experiences
Proficiency in core ME areas: process parameter optimization, error-proofing design, lean production tools, equipment selection & maintenance, etc.
Ability to standardize technologies: transform scattered ME experience into implementable standards, process, and tools (e.g., compiling ME process manuals).
Leadership: Ability to build and motivate the ME CoE team, balancing technical depth and implementation efficiency
Cross-function execution: communication, influence skill
