Main Tasks
- Implement, maintain, and continuously improve the site HSE Management System and Written Safety Program.
- Deliver new hire safety orientation and annual refresher training; support safety onboarding with HR.
- Conduct site safety inspections, emergency evacuation drills, and accident/incident investigations.
- Ensure timely completion of incident reports, workers’ compensation submissions, and regulatory documentation (OSHA 300 log, reports, and safety alerts).
- Coordinate monthly Safety Committee meetings and track action items to closure.
- Maintain safety records, documentation, and performance boards (e.g., SQDC).
- Monitor employee compliance with PPE and safe work practices.
- Support supervisors in developing safety procedures, job hazard analyses, and risk assessments.
- Act as liaison with external safety agencies and escalate major HSE concerns as needed.
- Support plant HSE targets, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1–2 years of HSE experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and workplace safety practices.
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and interact effectively at all levels.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
