Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable School Nurse to support the health and well-being of our students and staff in a Catholic school environment. The nurse will provide basic medical care, manage student health records, administer medications, respond to minor injuries or illnesses, and promote a safe, healthy school setting. The ideal candidate values working with children, communicates well with families and staff, and supports the mission and values of Catholic education. Active nursing licensure is preferred.
*This is a half-time position. The School Nurse role is filled by two half-time nurses.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide basic health care and first aid to students during the school day.
- Monitor and support students with ongoing health conditions.
- Keep student health records updated and confidential.
- Communicate with parents and school staff about student health concerns.
- Give medications to students when required and approved.
- Help identify student health needs and connect families with outside medical care if needed.
- Promote healthy habits and overall wellness for students.
- Work with school staff and church leadership to support student health and safety.
Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Missouri.
- Clinical nursing experience.
