Job Summary

Ste. Genevieve du Bois Catholic School seeks a School Secretary to serve as the welcoming and organizational hub of the school office. This role provides essential administrative support to the principal, faculty, students, and families while supporting the mission of Catholic education in a faith‑centered environment. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary receptionist, greeting visitors and supporting a welcoming school environment
  • Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and daily communications with families and staff
  • Provide administrative support to the principal and teaching staff
  • Maintain student records, attendance logs, and confidential files
  • Assist with scheduling, calendars, and school communications
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and routine documents
  • Support arrival, dismissal, and lunch or supervision needs as assigned
  • Uphold school policies, confidentiality standards, and Archdiocesan procedures

Schedule

  • School‑day hours
  • Monday through Friday
  • Follows the academic school calendar

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior office or school administrative experience preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
  • Proficiency with basic office technology and computer systems
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced school environment
  • Commitment to the mission and values of the Catholic Church
  • Must meet Archdiocese of St. Louis Safe Environment and background requirements
