ROLE MISSION

This position will be a key member of the SEA & Korea team. As part of this team, you will play a crucial role in managing full sets of accounts across multiple countries in the SEA region, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with international standards. Your contributions will directly support Datalogic’s financial integrity and operational efficiency.

The mission of this role is to deliver timely and accurate financial accounting and reporting while fostering collaboration with finance counterparts across various countries. You will drive process improvements, facilitate audits, and provide strategic financial insights to support business decisions. Ultimately, your efforts will enhance Datalogic’s financial performance and support its growth in the region.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform full sets of accounts – AR, AP, Fixed Assets, GL and Trial Balance.
  • Support multiple countries include Singapore, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam. Integration of more countries in the pipeline.
  • Support timely delivery of financial accounting and tax reporting activities, including but not limited to: month-end and year-end closing activities, Balance Sheet reconciliation,
  • Financial Statements review, IFRS reporting, Cash Flow reporting, consolidation reporting, GST/VAT and Corporate Tax returns.
  • Coordinate with finance counterparts in respective countries- Headquarter Finance, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Shared Service Centre lead in China and Vietnam. Review of AR and AP postings; investigate processing errors; and provide advice to Shared Service Centre Finance team when necessary.
  • Report Financial and Operational Issues-processes and systems related.
  • Review of existing policies and procedures, internal controls, compliance to group policy. Process improvement recommendations and driving issue resolutions.
  • Facilitate completion of annual group audit and annual statutory audit. Execute tasks in the PBC list providing supporting documents to auditors, variance analysis, and other internal and external audit tasks. Also directly communicating with statutory auditors, external and internal stakeholders - directors and company secretary.
  • Financial analysis and strategic planning for annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting.
  • Provide financial advice to sales, marketing and other departments within the region.
  • Support finance related and system enhancement projects (process improvements, automation, etc) and perform SAP QAS testing and report results to HQ IT.
  • Support other ad-hoc accounting activities, reporting duties and projects.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Education: Degree or professional qualification in Accountancy, CA is preferable

Language: Fluent English; written and verbal communication

Experience: At least 5 years of full sets of accounts experience and regional exposure

Others:

  • Big 4 Audit and tax experience preferred.
  • Hands on experience in SAP FICO, Hyperion (HFM)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Power BI, Data Analysis tools
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to communicate to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Possess strong analytical skills and attentive to details.
  • Goal-oriented, Ability to work independently with limited supervision, can think out of the box.
  • Positive Attitude, teachable, have a sense of ownership and responsibility.
  • Proactive team player, working collaboratively with colleagues across the region.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to drive own initiatives.
