- You have strong backend engineering experience designing reliable, scalable services and APIs (Go, gRPC, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, Stripe)
- You’ve worked on billing, payments, subscriptions, or other financially critical systems, and understand the importance of accuracy and auditability
- You think in systems and edge cases, anticipating race conditions, retries, proration scenarios, and failure modes before they impact customers
- You are comfortable working with finance, support, and product stakeholders, translating complex technical behavior into clear outcomes
- You have experience with relational data modeling and transactional integrity, and understand idempotency, reconciliation, and audit trails
- You value observability and operational excellence, building systems that are diagnosable, monitorable, and resilient
- You enjoy reducing manual toil through automation and improving internal workflows
