Summary:
The Senior Business Development Manager, TRM is responsible for the commercial management and growth of Voith's Total Roll Management business in North America. This role leads strategic customer agreements, pricing, contract negotiations, and business development initiatives that drive revenue growth, profitability, and long-term customer partnerships. The position works cross-functionally with sales, operations, finance, and product management to develop and execute TRM strategies that support Voith's business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Own the North American Total Roll Management (TRM) portfolio, driving revenue growth, customer retention, and profitable expansion of existing and new agreements.
- Lead the development, negotiation, implementation, and renewal of TRM contracts, partnering with sales, operations, finance, and legal teams.
- Establish and manage TRM pricing strategies, quote pricing, and commercial terms to support profitability and long-term business objectives.
- Serve as the primary commercial contact for TRM customers, building strategic relationships and identifying opportunities to expand account scope and value.
- Monitor contract performance, customer compliance, revenue, and margin results, recommending actions to improve business performance and customer outcomes.
- Provide commercial guidance and support to sales teams on TRM opportunities, contract structures, pricing, and customer strategies.
- Maintain TRM contract governance processes, including pricing tools, workflows, contract documentation, and renewal planning.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and business opportunities to support the growth and competitiveness of Voith's TRM offering.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong business development, strategic account management, and contract negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth, profitability, and long-term customer relationships.
- Advanced analytical and business acumen with the ability to interpret market, financial, and operational data to support decision-making.
- Ability to leverage data analytics, digital technologies, and AI-enabled tools to improve business insights, forecasting, and commercial performance.
- Strong financial acumen, including pricing strategy, margin analysis, and business case development.
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across sales, operations, finance, product management, and executive leadership teams.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills with customers and internal stakeholders.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in business development, account management , sales, product management or a related role.
- Experience developing customer agreements, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations.
- Knowledge of paper machine rolls, papermaking processes or related industrial markets preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to sit, walk, and stand.
- Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Use of PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.) required in designated areas.
