Phu Bia Mining Limited is a Lao-registered company, 90 per cent owned by PanAust Limited, an Australian-headquartered copper and gold mining company, with the Government of Laos owning the remaining 10 per cent. Phu Bia Mining owns and operates two award winning operations – Phu Kham Copper-Gold and Ban Houayxai Gold-Silver, both located in Xaisomboun Province, 120km north of Vientiane.

Reporting to the Enterprise Applications  Superintendent, you will provide a link between Finance, Transactional Services, Projects systems, BI analytics, and Information Technology to support and further develop the SAP ECC 6 system and any associated systems to ensure solutions continue to meet the business needs.

 

The role will also assist with identifying training and change management requirements for these functions.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Acting as a primary point of contact for business users as well as for manages services partner organisation
  • Providing business solutions and support for the functions of SAP and all other associated systems
  • Support and configuration of SAP FI and CO, Cash and Banking, Integrated Planning, Lumira reports, Analysis for Office, as well as Blackline and Esker
  • Managing small projects and enhancements and leading improvement initiatives in partnership with internal and external delivery teams
  • Root Cause Analysis on all incidents raised to determine short term solution if required and long-term resolution of critical issues.
  • Ensuring a consistent and fit for purpose configuration is maintained
  • Proactively locating and correcting potential problems and/or implement improvements
  • Creating functional specifications for future development requirements
  • Maintaining blueprint, training and support documentation
  • When required complete user acceptance, system, and integration testing
  • Provide input into blueprint and configurations for future enhancements and changes
  • Assisting with setting the vision for PanAust business processes
  • Supporting the application of processes and ICT system functionality across PanAust. This includes monitoring KPI’s, assisting continuous improvement and defining new reporting requirements
  • Assisting key stakeholders to coordinate user support, training, communications, and short-, medium- and long-term improvements
  • Reviewing, maintaining and updating master data standards and governance

 

To be successful in this role, you will require:

 

  • Qualification in Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
  • A minimum of 5 years’ related experience
  • Hands on experience providing support and business solutions and managing projects and enhancements leading improvement initiatives with internal and external delivery teams
  • Strong commitment to training and supporting the growth of Lao National employees
