Job Title: Senior Carpenter

Salary Range: $57,320 - $67,435
FLSA Status: Nonexempt
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Summary
The Senior Carpenter is responsible for executing high-quality carpentry work across a variety of commercial construction projects. This role requires a strong ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications, as well as effectively perform work based on verbal instructions.
Job Duties
- Builds and assembles all forms of cabinets and solid surface counter tops.
- Interprets construction drawings and order materials for projects.
- Builds cold rooms, patient rooms, research lab benches, offices and entire office suites.
- Coordinates and schedules work with other trade personnel and contractors to complete jobs in a timely manner.
- Installs all types of mill work, aluminum framing, commercial doors and sheetrock framing.
- Maintains a clean work area and cleans up completed projects.
- Performs carpentry duties using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Follows up with customer to ensure quality and satisfaction.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Four years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Trade or technical school.
- Renovation and construction experience.
- Completion of recognized apprenticeship.
Department-specific Requirements
- Must possess a valid Texas driver's license and meet Baylor College of Medicine's driving eligibility requirements, including a clean driving record and a minimum of three years of U.S. driving history.
Work Authorization Requirement:
