We’re on the hunt for a Senior Communications Officer to deliver outstanding strategic communications advice and support to our Places and Spaces directorate. You’ll get to work collaboratively across some of Council’s key projects and services including parks and trees, playground and shopping centre renewals, waste management, sustainable transport initiatives and asset planning.

 

We’re looking for someone who’s a communications all-rounder with a strong customer focus. You thrive on having several projects on the go at any given time and communicating with diverse audiences.

 

Our ideal candidate:

  • can research information and write clearly and concisely
  • has a strong understanding of community engagement principles and how to apply them
  • can edit and produce different kinds of content for mass and specific target audience groups
  • can influence stakeholders to achieve successful communication outcomes.

 

This role is responsible for producing high quality, engaging content for Council’s communication channels. Our team is responsible for developing customer-focused communication strategies, writing content and providing strategic advice. We work closely and collaboratively with our colleagues including graphic design, multimedia and digital marketing to explore creative and innovative ways to communicate with our residents.
