The Senior Director, Product Management serves as the General Manager’s primary strategic partner, with delegated GM‑level responsibilities and full accountability for a global product and solutions segment. This role leads the long‑term portfolio strategy and is responsible for driving above‑market growth, margin expansion, operational excellence, and organizational scalability.
This position oversees a segment with full P&L responsibility of approximately $400–500M within a broader $1.3B global business unit. It requires close partnership across Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, and Finance to deliver sustainable financial and strategic outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Portfolio Leadership
- Develop and lead the 3–5 year portfolio and technology strategy aligned with customer needs, market dynamics, and competitive insights.
- Drive prioritization and scale‑up of high‑impact initiatives to deliver accelerated growth.
- Lead S&OP and demand‑planning governance; influence make/buy decisions and global manufacturing footprint considerations.
Go‑to‑Market, Pricing & Channel Leadership
- Define and execute global go‑to‑market approaches across direct and distribution channels.
- Implement value‑based pricing strategies to maximize reach, customer value, and profitability.
- Build and strengthen senior‑level relationships with OEMs, distribution partners, and key industry stakeholders.
New Product Introduction & Engineering Collaboration
- Accelerate the NPI pipeline, ensuring market‑ready launches and rapid ramp‑to‑revenue.
- Partner closely with Engineering to align innovation investments with strategic priorities and portfolio direction.
M&A, Partnerships & Adjacencies
- Lead the full M&A lifecycle, including target screening, strategic rationale development, diligence leadership, and integration planning.
- Establish and manage partnerships that enhance portfolio breadth and enable entry into new adjacencies.
Operations Interface & Financial Delivery
- Co‑lead efforts to optimize manufacturing footprint, supply chain performance, and service levels.
- Deliver year‑over‑year improvements in gross margin through pricing, mix, productivity, and disciplined cost‑to‑serve.
- Improve inventory turns, working capital, and cash conversion.
Talent, Leadership & Culture
- Build and mentor a high‑performing global product management organization.
- Develop future leaders through coaching, delegation, and structured talent development.
Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and strong customer focus
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated P&L leadership experience at or above the $400M scale within a global, multi‑layered organization.
- Strong background in Product Management within industrial, electrical, or electronic markets.
- Experience leading end‑to‑end M&A processes with strong financial and commercial capability.
- A strategic thinker able to balance long‑term vision with hands‑on leadership in technical and operational areas.
- High emotional intelligence; able to lead effectively in complex, fast‑paced environments.
- Experience navigating global corporate environments; candidates from smaller organizations welcomed with evidence of corporate readiness and adaptability.
