SENIOR GEOLOGIST

Based in Tabubil and reporting to the Superintendent Resource Development, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing diamond drilling activities in mining operations.

 

Your role will involve:

  • Liaising with internal departments and external contractors to effectively facilitate in-pit diamond drilling operations;
  • Planning and scheduling diamond drilling plans with compliance to safety standards and operational requirements;
  • Overseeing and providing technical guidance to geologists and technicians in resource developments;
  • Validating and preparing geological data and assisting with geological modelling to support accurate Mineral Resource estimation; and
  • Providing effective leadership and people management through coaching, mentoring and ongoing development of team members.

  

To be considered, you must possess the following:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Geology;
  • Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in open-pit or near mine operational environment, preferably within Porphyry Copper-Gold systems;
  • Proficient in geological modelling software such as Hexagon Mine Plan 3D or Leapfrog;
  • Demonstrated strong leadership and team development capabilities, with a clear committment to personal safety, performance and continuous improvement; and
  • Excellent communication, analytical and decision-making skills, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement across the team.
