The Role

The Senior Operations Manager is the operational backbone between product sourcing and customer-facing execution. You sit at the intersection of supply chain, Shopify, demand planning, and marketing delivery — acting as the bridge between our Supply Chain Manager (responsible for sourcing and vendor relationships in China) and the marketing team (responsible for offers, campaigns, and product launches). You own what happens between the factory and the storefront: inventory integrity, demand forecasting, Shopify backend accuracy, 3PL coordination, and the operational readiness that makes every campaign possible.

This isn’t your typical coordinator position. As a senior operator, you’ll take the lead in negotiating with suppliers and logistics partners around the world, making independent decisions on inventory placement, and proactively spotting potential issues before they arise. You’ll also cover operational hours that stretch beyond your counterpart in China, ensuring seamless continuity across time zones during our 8am–12pm EST collaboration window.

What You Will Own

Shopify & Product Backend • Own the Shopify backend: product setup, pricing configuration, product information accuracy, and storefront integrity across all SKUs. • Ensure every product change — new launches, bundle updates, offer modifications — is reflected accurately and on time in the storefront. • Coordinate with marketing on offer setup, campaign plugins (CKC), and promotional configurations so operational execution matches campaign intent.

Demand Planning & Inventory Management • Build and maintain demand forecasts based on sales velocity, campaign schedules, and seasonality, in coordination with the Supply Chain Manager. • Monitor stock levels across approximately 20 SKUs and three product categories, flagging risks and recommending replenishment actions before stockouts occur. • Balance inventory integrity with cost efficiency: avoid both overstock and stockout scenarios across the product portfolio.

Shipping & Logistics Coordination • Oversee daily order fulfillment via Shopify, coordinating with 3PL partners to ensure timely, accurate processing. • Manage relationships with 3PL vendors in Guangzhou and Shenzhen, holding them to SLAs on service quality, cost, and issue resolution time. • Own cross-border logistics coordination for US-bound shipments: carrier selection, routing decisions, and escalation management.

Supplier & Partner Negotiation • Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms with logistics partners and operational vendors globally. • Maintain competitive tension among suppliers: avoid single-vendor dependency and benchmark performance regularly. • Represent Hyprwork professionally in all external supplier and partner communications.

Operations-Marketing Bridge • Serve as the operational point of contact for the marketing team: confirm product availability, delivery timelines, and operational readiness before campaigns go live. • Flag conflicts between campaign commitments and operational capacity early, with clear recommendations. • Provide the customer support team with accurate operational updates on order status, logistics issues, and product availability.
