Role Summary
As a CBS Senior Payments Analyst on a 1-year temporary contract, you will play a critical role in driving financial efficiency, operational accuracy, and compliance across our regional Accounts Payable and Treasury workflows. Based in our Mexico Finance Center within a hybrid work model, you will lead high-impact payment execution, monitor cash restriction metrics, and serve as a key point of contact for internal, corporate, and SOX audit processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to optimize end-to-end payment workflows, collaborate with regional business leaders and external banking partners, and contribute to continuous improvement and digital automation projects in a dynamic, growth-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Execute Core Payment Operations: Oversee and execute complex executive payment runs, ensuring total accuracy, timeliness, and strict adherence to organizational schedules.
- Manage Cash & Risk Metrics: Quantify daily cash restrictions, proactively identify and investigate rejected payments, and establish robust control processes to mitigate operational risks.
- Oversee Reconciliation & Audit Compliance: Actively track and resolve open bank reconciliation items while managing compliance deliverables for corporate and SOX audits.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Participate in the testing and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives designed to streamline Accounts Payable workflows and electronic banking processes.
- Engage Key Stakeholders: Partner cross-functionally with Senior Finance Leadership, regional business partners, external banking institutions, and vendors to ensure seamless delivery aligned with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, Treasury, or Corporate Finance.
- Fluent bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
- Hands-on experience working with SAP financial systems and advanced Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with electronic banking management systems and bank reconciliation processes.
- Strong end-to-end process analysis skills with a focus on workflow efficiency and problem-solving.
- Working knowledge of SOX compliance, internal financial controls, and audit readiness.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional, multi-regional virtual teams.
