Senior Platform DevOps Engineer

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will join a team who strive to push cloud services to the maximum limit every day using cutting-edge technologies. We are looking for a highly self-motivated professional who embraces DevOps culture, has experience with AWS services and technologies and is passionate about learning, automating, innovating and working in a highly collaborative environment. 

Your activities will include:  • Initiate and actively drive the adoption of good patterns, structures and use of technologies for development and operations  • Investigate and identify practices and work that can benefit from automation   • Monitor and suggest improvements to the existing CI/CD process to increase speed, safety and reliability  • Implement and coordinate implementation with the parties involved  • Develop and maintain existing /GitLab CI pipeline libraries  • Assist developers with setting up CI/CD for their projects and provide support for any issues that may arise  • Stay up to date with the latest tools and trends in the industry  • Provide senior-level, best practice recommendations and implementations to our Windows, Linux and Kubernetes hosting environments   • Function as a mentor to junior team members, providing technical guidance and recommending continued learning opportunities to help them develop  • Educate fellow team members as well as Application Development Teams about the platforms used-for and hosted-by our team. Key tools and concepts in this space are: Gitlab, Docker, AWS, Terraform, Istio Service Mesh,  Kubernetes , Kafka, ELK  • Work with our Security team to remediate high-risk vulnerabilities and ensure the security of our environments are being scrutinized as appropriate for their use case   • Offer services related to the above tasks and projects to any of the Companies of the Group as instructed by the Line Manager
