Performance Indicators

i. Variable cost tracking and management

• Monitor utilities consumption including fuel gas, chemicals, water, and power.
• Support utilities production balance, cost monitoring, and month-end reconciliation.
• Support in identification of opportunities for cost optimization through improved operating efficiency.

ii. Review plant parameters to ensure smooth operation

• Monitor utilities (CW, Steam, PW, IA, PA, N2, chilled water, wastewater) and power plant operating parameters to ensure stable and efficient operation.
• Daily plant monitoring report development and issuance along with recommendations / correction actions
• Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis during plant disturbances.

iii. Quality management

• Ensure utilities quality parameters remain within defined specifications.
• Monitor boiler water, cooling water, steam, and treated water quality.
• Investigate quality deviations and implement corrective measures.

iv. Energy index monitoring

• Monitor energy indices; MMBtu/ton of products (CA, PVC) and utilities performance indicators.
• Maintain site steam, power, and utilities balance.

v. Production Planning

• Support utilities generation planning aligned with plant production requirements.
• Provide technical input for load management, startups, and shutdown planning.
• Ensure reliable utilities availability to production units.

vi. PSI Package Management

• Maintain and update Process Safety Information (PSI) documentation.
• Support Management of Change (MOC) implementation and documentation updates & ensure process documents remains evergreen.

vii. Budget management

• Support monitoring of utilities operating expenditure and consumption trends.
• Provide technical inputs for budgeting, forecasting, and performance reviews.

viii. Unit Reporting

• Prepare utilities operational, monitoring, and stewardship reports.
• Maintain accurate plant data and ensure timely SAP actualization.
• Billing reconciliation with Finance

ix. Performance Report

• Analyze plant performance and efficiency data for powerplant/Chillers/Turbines/Compressors/Cooling towers and others)
• Prepare performance evaluation reports and recommend improvement actions.

x. Yearly capex allocation

• Identify improvement opportunities related to safety, reliability, and efficiency.
• Support development, evaluation, and implementation of capital projects.

xi. Management Meetings

• Planning meeting

xii. Team Management

• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams for plant support.
• Provide technical guidance during shutdowns, commissioning, and plant investigations.

1.        Experience & Education

• Chemical Engineer with 3-8 years of relevant experience in Process Engineering of oil & gas, refinery, petrochemicals, or fertilizer plant
