Join our team as a Senior Projects Coordinator
Play a key role in shaping Redland City’s marine and foreshore environments. As a Senior Projects Coordinator, you’ll lead the planning and delivery of high‑impact capital works projects across our marine infrastructure portfolio - from concept and funding through to delivery and handover. Working closely with internal teams, delivery partners and government stakeholders, you’ll bring a strategic, end‑to‑end project management lens to projects that directly serve and connect our island and coastal communities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- End‑to‑end project leadership – Manage capital projects across the full lifecycle, from concept, business case and funding through to delivery and handover
- Program & governance oversight – Coordinate multiple projects, ensuring time, cost, quality and risk outcomes are achieved
- Delivery partner management – Lead and collaborate with internal and external delivery partners
- Design & technical input – Review design documentation, options analyses and consultant recommendations to guide delivery decisions
- Stakeholder engagement – Build trusted relationships with Council officers, state government partners and community stakeholders
- Risk, procurement & compliance – Identify risks early and ensure governance, insurance and compliance requirements are met
- Clear communication & reporting – Provide high-quality reporting and advice to sponsors, steering committees and Councillors
- Systems & planning discipline – Use Council’s PMO framework and systems (including PMO365) to track progress and outcomes
Skills and experience:
- Proven experience managing major and minor marine or infrastructure capital projects
- Strong knowledge of project and program management frameworks across the asset lifecycle
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder environments, including Councillors
- High-level communication skills, with experience producing technical reports and briefings
- Experience leading teams and coordinating multidisciplinary project inputs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with sound decision-making skills
- Self-motivated, resilient and adaptable in complex or changing project environments
