Senior Software Engineer, API
Apply NowWe’re redefining how robots are deployed. Our platform enables users to simulate, test, and optimize entire robotic systems in parallel. By removing the barriers that have kept advanced robotics out of reach for all but the largest players, we’re ushering in a new era of manufacturing, one where mass reshoring is not only viable, but inevitable. The Senior Software Engineer will help shape the software interfaces that connect the world's leading industrial simulation platforms with Realtime Robotics' motion planning technology. Reporting to the manager of the API scrum team, you'll build the connectors that serve as the entry point into our platform while helping design and evolve the external APIs that developers use to integrate with our technology. This team sits at the intersection of robotics, simulation, cloud software, and AI. You'll work across multiple engineering teams to deliver a seamless developer and user experience spanning diverse simulation environments, while contributing to emerging AI-driven workflows. Your work will directly influence how customers and AI-powered tools interact with our platform as the next generation of Physical AI applications continues to evolve. In this position, you will: • Design, develop, test and maintain new features that extend the capabilities and performance of our product, using primarily C# with occasional use of Python or C++ • Design and build connectors that integrate industry-leading robotics simulation environments with our motion planning platform, creating a consistent and intuitive user experience across multiple tools • Contribute to the design, evolution, and long-term reliability of our external developer API, with a strong focus on usability, stability, and developer experience • Collaborate with engineers across motion planning, cloud platform, validation, applications engineering, and product management to deliver innovative solutions for industrial robotics • Help expand our platform's AI capabilities by contributing to developer tooling and AI-native interfaces
