The SunRice Group is an Australian ASX-listed branded food group, comprising multiple businesses, assets and operations across Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East, the United States, The Pacific Islands and Asia.  SunRice was built by the Australian rice industry over many decades and today is one of Australia’s leading branded food exporters, with approximately 2,000 employees and operations in 11 countries.

SunRice is a great place to work, providing a real opportunity for passionate people to make a difference.

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Supply Planner to join our ANZ Supply Chain team, supporting an imported portfolio across both Retail and Foodservice.

This is a hands‑on role where you’ll manage day‑to‑day supply planning while also helping improve how we work. You’ll own the monthly supply cycle end‑to‑end, balancing customer service, inventory, cost and risk- while working closely with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues as they arise.

Supply challenges are part of the role, and you’ll be trusted to analyse situations, communicate clearly, and collaborate with others to find practical, commercial solutions for the business.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Owning end‑to‑end supply planning for an imported ANZ portfolio across Retail and Foodservice
  • Keeping the monthly supply cycle on track, balancing service, inventory, cost and risk.
  • Building strong, trusted relationships with overseas and local suppliers, and staying closely connected to performance
  • Proactively identifying supply risks and working with stakeholders to put effective actions in place
  • Managing excess, run‑out risks, NPDs and deletions with a clear, commercial mindset
  • Making smart decisions on purchase orders, containers and inbound priorities when supply is constrained
  • Bringing insights to life through clear Supply outlooks that highlight risks and recommended actions
  • Looking for better ways of working - contributing to continuous improvement across planning, tools and processes
  • Working closely with teams across Supply Chain, Logistics, Sales, Procurement, Finance and Customer Ops

About You

You’re organised, detail‑focused and comfortable managing complexity. You enjoy being close to the action whilst also thinking about how things could be done better. You’re a strong communicator who builds trust quickly, and values working as part of a collaborative team.

You bring a calm, practical mindset when issues arise and are confident making decisions, escalating risks, and working through challenges alongside others.

You will bring:

  • 5+ years’ experience in supply planning, ideally within FMCG and imported supply chains
  • Confidence navigating complex, fast‑moving environments where priorities can shift
  • Strong Excel capability and hands‑on SAP (MRP) experience, with comfort working in the detail
  • Exposure to Power BI and IBP, with an interest in using data to drive better decisions
  • A natural ability to build relationships with suppliers and internal teams alike
  • A sharp eye for detail, great organisation skills, and the ability to stay one step ahead
  • Clear, confident communication and a calm, solutions‑focused approach
  • A genuine team mindset and a curiosity for improving how things are done

What’s in it for you

At SunRice Group, we believe great work starts with feeling supported, valued and inspired. When you join our team, you’ll enjoy a range of benefits designed to support your wellbeing, growth and everyday life.

  • SunRice Product Allowance: Take home a taste of what we do best. You’ll receive a weekly allowance of SunRice Group products, so you can enjoy and share the food we’re proud to make.
  • Leave: Enjoy competitive leave benefits, including volunteer leave and the option to purchase additional leave when you need extra flexibility.
  • Wellness Reimbursement: Your wellbeing matters. Twice a year, you’ll be reimbursed for fitness memberships or other health and wellbeing initiatives that help you feel your best

If you enjoy working in the detail, cutting through complexity, and supporting teams that help deliver quality food from origin to table, this is a role where your contribution truly matters.

All correspondence will be dealt with in strict confidence.

SunRice is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. SunRice will consider qualified applicants for employment based on their merit, individual skills, qualifications and other appropriate criteria relevant to the role for which they are applying.
