Senior Support Analyst

  • $137,963.00 per annum + superannuation
  • Full time, ongoing position
  • Wadawurrung/Geelong based role (hybrid working model – 3 days per week in office)

As the Senior Support Analyst, you will provide a range of technical services supporting, maintaining, enhancing, designing, building and deploying applications assigned to their service. The role is responsible for providing technical services across a range of applications, with a strong focus on maintaining service quality at or above agreed targets.

 

This role will also provide technical leadership and direction to technical specialists and system analysts, and lead the identification and implementation of improvement initiatives within technical practices such as software development and system integration, and will ensure production of documentation to enable colleagues to support, maintain and develop applications.

 

Key to success will be the identification and implementation of improvement initiatives and asset management plans to achieve significant reductions in the volume of problems, support and service requests raised and promote reusability of designs and implementations.

 

 

Key accountabilities

 

  • Actively maintains and provides recognised expert level knowledge and advice in one or more identifiable specialisms. In addition oversees the provision of specialist advice by others and consolidates expertise from multiple sources.
  • Maintains application support processes, and checks that all requests for support are dealt with according to agreed procedures. Uses application management software and tools to investigate issues, collect performance statistics and create reports.
  • Prioritises and diagnoses incidents according to agreed procedures. Investigates causes of incidents and seeks resolution, escalating unresolved incidents. Facilitates recovery, following resolution of incidents.
  • Contributes to the availability management process and its operation and performs defined availability management tasks. Analyses service and component availability, reliability, maintainability and serviceability. Ensures that services and components meet and continue to meet all of their agreed performance targets and service levels.
  • Implements arrangements for disaster recovery and documents recovery procedures. Conducts testing of recovery procedures.
  • Provision of support out of hours (not 24/7), availability for weekend BAU maintenance and some trouble-shooting activities is required.

About you

 

 

You will be a proactive self-starter, with a strong passion for and ability to make systems better.

 

 

You will also have a demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively to manage end-to-end support and resolution processes for assigned tasks through in-depth analysis, review and application of expert knowledge.

 

 

In addition you will have highly developed interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with strong customer focus and ability to understand issues, manage expectations, gain agreement, resolve conflicts and translate technical information into business language.

 

 

 

Additionally, you will possess the following skills and experience:

 

 

  • Advanced in SAS Base, SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Access engines and SAS Visual Analytics. And in Linux shell.

  • Capable in other Business Intelligence technologies and platform administration, including but not limited to:

    • Cloud DBT, ETL Tools Informatica , AWS Cloud Glue, M365 PowerAutomate
    • Oracle Data warehouse maintenance. Sql and Pl/Sql
    • Cloud Data warehouse/Lakehouse platform such as Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift
    • PLSQL/R/Python/Shell Scripting
    • Splunk (desirable)
    • Frontend data analytics platform such as Qlik Sense, Power BI
  • Experience in application support and lifecycle management, deployment management, environment configuration and software development lifecycle methodologies, tools and systems preferably in SAS.
