Overall Purpose of the Job
To provide Manufacturing support for Expro Meters Wallingford. This includes but is not limited to, inspection, testing, assembling, packing and shipping Expro Meters Products and ancillary components required for customer sales or Production Surveillance. Contributing to sustaining manufacturing engineering activities including documentation of processes and maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of production equipment, as well as development of new and improvements to existing production process flows and documentation will also be an expectation of this position.
Key Activities and Accountabilities
1. Inspection of incoming components or assemblies – mechanical and electronic skill set required
2. Use of SAP and company documents, work instructions, travelers to perform work activities under ISO system and other regulatory requirements
3. Assembly of sub-components - mechanical and electrical skill set required
4. Testing of sub-components – mechanical and electrical skill set required
5. Documenting any non-conforming materials, isolating them from the production floor
6. System level assembly and testing – mechanical and electrical skill set required
7. Final testing to Expro standard requirements
8 Final testing to customer specific requirements
9 Accurate and timely completion of paperwork, internal records and external certifications
10 Packing and shipping of finished product
11 Support of Flow Lab testing activities
Job Knowledge and Qualifications
All round Technician with mechanical, electrical and electronic skill set
Ability to solder to a known standard
Comprehensive understanding of mechanical assembly techniques
Use of oscilloscope, network analyser, hi-pot tester for electronics testing
Ability to operate assembly and test equipment, ovens, vacuum degassers, fume hood to support manufacturing operations
Previous experience (minimum of 8 years) in manufacturing environment
Minimum of an Associate Degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience
Excellent verbal communication, written and organizational skills
Computer skills to operate final test stations, use of SAP and Microsoft Office Suite to create work instructions, job travellers
Adherence to QHSE guidelines
