Do you have what it takes to become a Settlements Lead?
We’re seeking an experienced Settlements Lead to lead and support a high-performing settlements team within a fast-paced financial services environment. This role is responsible for overseeing daily settlements operations, ensuring service level commitments are met, and driving continuous improvement across people, process and performance.
You’ll be a hands-on leader who enjoys coaching others, resolving complex matters, and partnering with internal and external stakeholders to deliver timely, accurate settlement outcomes.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead, coach and develop a team of Settlements Officers to achieve operational and service excellence
- Oversee end-to-end settlement processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance
- Manage workflow allocation, capacity planning and priority management
- Act as an escalation point for complex or high-risk settlement matters
- Monitor performance against SLAs, KPIs and quality measures
- Identify process improvement opportunities and support change initiatives
- Ensure policies, procedures and regulatory requirements are consistently met
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to resolve issues and improve outcomes
- Prepare reports and provide insights on team performance and trends
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring a strong blend of operational expertise and people leadership capability. You will likely have:
- Proven experience in settlements, lending operations or a similar financial services environment
- Previous experience leading or supervising a team
- Strong understanding of end-to-end settlement processes
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Confidence handling escalations and complex matters
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to drive change
