Project Overview:
Yanacocha Water Treatment Plant (WTP):
Located 800 km northeast of Lima, Peru, Yanacocha is South America’s largest gold mine. The WTP Project consists of two of the largest acid water treatment plants in South America (the West one with capacity of 3,000 m3/hour and the East one with 2,700 m3/hour). Early works are currently being performed on site, preparing the permanent platforms and laydown areas for the East and West plants, in addition to the Class 2 estimate, Level 3 schedule and Execution Plan.
Job Summary:
The Site Integration Manager – Construction Completion is responsible for supporting the Site Manager in driving the final phase of project execution, ensuring effective integration across Construction, Field Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Turnover, and Precommissioning teams. The role focuses on achieving construction completion milestones, system readiness, turnover objectives, and precommissioning schedules through disciplined planning, interface management, and execution oversight.
Major Responsibilities:
Leadership/Supervision
- Managing the organization and direction of construction and related activities of a single construction project, including actions of Bechtel, subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and their representatives.
- Acting as primary client contact for all project field activities.
- Overseeing total site management including supervision of construction craft personnel, field engineering, contract administration, cost and schedule, field procurement, finance and accounting services, and craft resource personnel as applicable.
- Maintaining client relationship and is the primary contact for client’s communication with the field activities and effective relation with other functional departments.
- Coordinating all project contractual activities. and participates in the development of contract, subcontract, or vendor scopes of work, budgets, contract formation, and negotiations
Planning
- Overseeing jobsite expenditures for labor equipment, material and services and ensures field operations are within the budget.
- Establishing project field procedures and objectives within corporate policies and procedures as necessitated by conditions at a jobsite.
- Developing, implementing, and administering a jobsite security plan and coordinates the activities with corporate security department.
Safety & Quality
- Ensuring development and execution of Project Automation Plan, Environmental Compliance Plan, safety plan, site survey plan, non-manual staffing plan, subcontracting plan, labor strategy, Construction Execution Plan, and job-site work rules.
- Planning and establishing procedures to ensure construction operations meet engineering designs and specifications.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 13-15 years of relevant experience or 17-19 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Extensive background in industrial construction projects, managing staff, providing leadership, maintaining good client relationships, and developing talent within the project.
- Knowledge & demonstrated commitment to Environment, Safety and Health (ES&H)
- Knowledge of EPCM and EPC contract management. Thorough knowledge of construction activities as they relate to engineering disciplines, cost and scheduling, and contract administration.
- Must be familiar with current industry quality standards.
- Cross function experience in another function such as engineering, procurement, contracts, etc. Is preferable but not rule out for that.
- General knowledge of performance management processes & planning
- General knowledge of cost management including estimating and forecast development.
- Advanced communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Mining Industry experience, EPC & EPCM.
- Bechtel experience.
- Work at site experience and full availability for that.
