An exciting opportunity exists for a Grade 3 Senior Social Worker to join our Sub-Acute team at Kingston Centre in a full-time, fixed term (parental leave position) capacity until May 2027.
In this leadership role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centred care in a sub-acute inpatient settings. You will play a key role in coordinating service delivery, supporting staff and students, and driving best-practice social work within a multidisciplinary environment.
About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a senior position where you can further develop your leadership capability, influence service delivery, and contribute to improved outcomes for patients and families.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing advanced clinical social work services within Sub Acute (both Geriatriatric Evaluation Management and Rehabilitation streams)
- Delivering supervision, mentorship, and professional development to staff and students
- Collaborating with medical, nursing, and allied health teams
- Maintaining a clinical caseload while demonstrating expert practice

About You
You are an experienced and motivated Social Worker with strong clinical expertise and a passion for leadership. You thrive in fast-paced healthcare environments and bring a collaborative, solutions-focused approach to your work. You are confident providing clinical guidance to others and are committed to supporting the development of your colleagues and the broader service.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Bachelor or Master of Social Work (qualifying), or equivalent recognised by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
- Eligibility for AASW membership
- Demonstrated extensive clinical experience (ideally 7+ years)
- Accredited Social Worker status (or working towards)
- Proven leadership skills, including supervision and team coordination
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A current Victorian Driver’s Licence
