Software Engineer - Python (Contractual role)

A Python Developer is responsible for building scalable, high-performance backend systems that power our platform. This role requires strong software engineering fundamentals, hands-on backend development experience, and the ability to build reliable, production-grade services that support millions of users. The ideal candidate is a smart, ambitious engineer who enjoys solving complex engineering problems, thrives in fast-paced environments, and takes end-to-end ownership of their work. You will collaborate closely with the engineering team on critical platform migration initiatives and contribute to building highly scalable backend systems.

Key Responsibilities• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python. • Build and optimize REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems. • Contribute to key engineering initiatives, including: • Media Pipeline Migration to Temporal • Communication Platform Migration

• Work with MySQL, Kafka, and AWS to build reliable and fault-tolerant systems. • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices. • Participate in system design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions. • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability. • Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality software. • Take end-to-end ownership of features—from design and development to deployment and monitoring. • Continuously improve engineering practices, code quality, and system performance.
