Would you like to play a crucial role in developing advanced embedded software for airborne systems? In this role, you will work across the full software lifecycle, contributing to high-performance solutions in a technically challenging environment. Come and join us!
We are facing an exciting future with considerable growth and demanding changes, as we deliver advanced technologies and mission critical solutions for the defense and aerospace industry. Our systems provide security for people on land, at sea and in the air. Therefore, we are looking for a Software Engineer to become part of this journey and contribute to our overall purpose: securing people through advanced technology.
Your role in our team
As our new Software Engineer, you will play a key role in developing embedded software for airborne mission-critical systems. You will work across the entire software lifecycle, from contributing to project definitions and requirements through design, implementation, and testing, to deployment and continued evolution. You will be expected to work independently and make informed technical decisions on the development of embedded software on resource-constrained hardware with high demands on performance and stability, spanning multiple layers of the software stack. You will actively contribute to improving our development methods and tools, and help ensure system quality through structured testing, traceability, and compliance in mission-critical environments.
You will become part of a team of colleagues who are committed to delivering high-quality solutions and contributing to a positive and collaborative work culture. The team works with a strong sense of ownership and takes pride in delivering reliable and well-crafted solutions. There is an open and supportive atmosphere where knowledge sharing and feedback are a natural part of everyday work, and where team members help each other solve complex challenges. We consider leaning into the team and contributing actively to the well-being of everyone as a natural and integral part of working with us.
The team values curiosity, continuous improvement, and close collaboration, and you will be part of an environment that supports both professional growth and learning. Working in the defense domain means being part of a team that handles complex and meaningful systems, giving you the opportunity to deepen your expertise where you will work with advanced technologies in systems that truly matter, and where your competencies will be both challenged and expanded
How you will make a meaningful contribution
-
- You will design and implement embedded C++ software for complex systems deployed in critical operational environments.
- Your work will move from design through to fielded systems — you will see your work put to real use.
- You will work closely with software engineers, systems engineers, architects, testers, and hardware specialists, and you will be expected to navigate confidently across those boundaries.
- You will contribute to evolving our tools, workflows, and architecture as the team and products grow.
- We also expect you to contribute beyond code — by sharing knowledge, challenging assumptions constructively, and helping maintain a working culture built on respect, collaboration, and trust.
Bring your expertise into play
You are fluent in English both in writing and verbal at a professional level. Danish is an advantage but not a requirement. Moreover, we are also looking for a new colleague with the following qualifications:
-
- You have solid experience with embedded C/C++ and a track record of delivering software that holds up in demanding environments.
- You hold a relevant technical degree, or you bring equivalent hands-on experience.
- You are comfortable operating across multiple layers of the stack, including close to hardware where constraints on resources and performance are a concern.
- Experience with FPGAs, real-time systems, or aerospace and defense contexts will strengthen your application, but is not a prerequisite.
As a person, you have a genuine enthusiasm for technology, and you stay curious about developments in your field. You are direct and constructive in your communication, not afraid to challenge an idea or ask hard questions when it matters. You collaborate well across disciplines, you value different perspectives, and you take ownership of your commitments.
