About the roleAs a Software Engineer at Nu Quantum, you will be responsible for helping to create the tools that our Scientists require to develop, test, build and enhance our quantum networking solutions. You will be part of the Software team, who develop software for internal lab use, as well as the control and user interfaces for our prototype products.  This includes firmware to run on embedded systems, the development of graphical user interfaces and automation of scientific experiments,  You will work closely in an agile software team dedicated to high quality delivery. We work closely with our Scientists and Engineers to define requirements, maintain and test software solutions. Responsibilities - What You'll be doing• Develop software to interface with proprietary optics, electronics and mechanical hardware, and third-party scientific equipment. • Work alongside FPGA and electronics system integration specialists to enable state-of-the-art quantum network control systems. • Develop user interfaces for streamlining product demonstrators and measurement control. • Make proactive, creative recommendations in all aspects of work, including improving our workflows and system design. • Create high-quality, testable and maintainable code.
