JOB PURPOSE:
Assist on commercial and contract related matters, where ADNOC Drilling acts as a service provider. Provide Manager, Commercial and Specialist, Commercial with regular information about the application of the financial and commercial aspects accordingly to ensure achieving the positive financial benefits and facilitate smooth and timely communication with clients. Support the Specialist, Commercial in developing tender submission documents as part of bidding for new opportunities. Assist in analysing variation requirements and advise the Manager, Commercial accordingly. Support in providing advice to technical personnel on contractual issues related to client contracts. Provide office-based support for all commercial aspects handled by the department. Develop and manage database for commercial function.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Job Specific Accountabilities

• Follow the current commercial frame agreement between ADNOC Drilling & Baker Hughes
• Attend pre-tender meetings called by clients along with the technical representatives of concerned department.
• Assist in contractual arrangements with clients including the preparation of contracts and obtaining internal (ADNOC Drilling) endorsements and approvals.
• Liaise with Manager, Commercial the final outcome of techno-commercial evaluation of ADNOC Drilling own tender for clients and provide CAPEX to Corporate Planning & Performance Division for preparation of final priced tender to clients.
• Assist in providing Manager, Commercial with regular information about contracts’ progress and facilitate smooth and timely communication with clients.
• Assist and provides advice to technical personnel on matters related to client contracts as needed.
• Support in conducting AAR (After Action Review) lessons learned reviews and communicate back to the organization, including key takeaways and actions follow up.
• Prepare reports to Specialist, Commercial regarding ADNOC Drilling performance against contractual milestones including deviations and/ or potential deviations.
• Assist in the development of tender submission documents for work opportunities and providescommercial advice to technical personnel as needed with respect to submissions.

• Follow up for timely internal endorsement of variation orders received from clients against running contracts and master agreements and return to clients within the given deadline for further processing of clients.
• Maintain and update Contract’s database to ensure that it is up to date at all times and all contracts for services provided are active prior to start any work.
• Perform related duties as assigned, such as maintaining an awareness of revised government regulations, laws, innovations and practices within the oil industry, up-dating self and informing superiors of any changes in information and further action deemed necessary, preparing standing instructions and general notices for approval by supervisor, ensuring the maintenance and updating of contract records and the like.
• Actively participates and contributes to the development of UAE National staff assigned to work with the team.
• Perform other similar or related duties as assigned by Supervisor.
• Comply with all UAE, ADNOC, ADNOC Drilling and client Legal, HSE and Asset Integrity Management
codes of practice.

 

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Economics, Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Engineering or equivalent

 

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

• 7 years’ experience in Commercial & contract development in oil/gas or petrochemical industryincluding contract preparation, tendering and award procedure in upstream oil & gas sector.
• Sound knowledge of Finance practices, legal aspects contracts management and procedures.
• Computer literate with ability to utilise specialised applicable software packages like Maximo, SAP,Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Database Management, etc.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
