Here's what you'll do…

The Store Person supports the efficient and safe handling of freight within the depot, ensuring all products are received, stored, and despatched in good condition. Responsibilities include loading and unloading freight, maintaining accurate freight movements, and ensuring chiller and freezer rooms operate at the correct temperatures in line with company standards and customer requirements. 

The key accountabilities of the role will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Safely and efficiently handle and move freight within the depot.
• Load and unload trucks, ensuring accurate pallet positioning and sorting.
• Monitor and maintain correct chiller and freezer temperatures.
• Keep work areas, loading bays, and surrounding spaces clean and tidy.
• Manage and record CHEP pallet movements accurately.
• Open and secure depot facilities at the start and end of each shift.
• Comply with all Health and Safety policies, reporting hazards and incidents promptly.
• Support daily operations and assist colleagues as required.
• Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
• Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and reliability in all aspects of work.

This is a full-time role working the Night Shift, Sundays to Fridays.

• Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or freight handling (helpful but not essential).
• Forklift licence essential
• Good attention to detail and care when handling freight.
• Comfortable working in a chiller or freezer environment.
• Commitment to working safely and following company procedures.
• Good communication skills and a friendly, customer-focused approach.
• Eager to learn, grow, and be part of a great team.
