We are a world leader in researching mobile and optical communication networks and systems, as well as machine learning, computer vision and compressing digital videos. As part of our project with the start-up TestBlu, we are looking for a Student Assistant in AI Operations to support software development, infrastructure, and AI operations ensuring reliable integration from laboratory outputs to AI-driven interpretation within the CaniSense diagnostic workflow. Be part of change
- Develop and maintain internal software tools, scripts, and automation pipelines
- Build and optimize data pipelines connecting sequencing outputs to AI models
- Automate AI model deployment, monitoring, and versioning
- Support IT infrastructure and cloud-based environments
- Improve workflow automation and system scalability
- Ensure stable integration between laboratory processes and AI interpretation layer
- Document systems, processes, and deployment workflows
What you contribute
Required Qualifications
- Enrolled Master student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, AI, or related field
- Strong programming skills (Python required; additional languages beneficial)
- Experience with workflow automation and pipeline development
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, such as Gitlab
- Understanding of containerization (Docker) and basic DevOps principles
- Structured and solution-oriented mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Familiarity with data security and healthcare-related data handling
- Familiarity with Jira, and its advanced features for workflow automation and pipeline development

The position is initially limited to 1 year. An extension is explicitly desired.
The monthly working time is 80 hours. This position is also available on a part-time basis.
