As the Supply & Inventory Strategy Manager based in Adelaide, you will lead the inventory function across the Mining division, driving strategic materials management, planning accuracy, network optimisation and continuous improvement. This role goes beyond the traditional warehouse inventory management.

Reporting to the General Manager, Inventory and Supply Chain, you will oversee a team of 6 and play a key role in ensuring inventory performance aligns with national service levels, cost efficiency, and operational excellence across Australia and New Zealand. You will also liaise with the other local Australian branches and international Liebherr affiliates for key projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and developing a team to deliver strong inventory performance and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Drive inventory optimisation and strategic materials management through the effective use of master data and ERP system.
  • Identifying and actioning surplus, non-moving stock, and reverse supply chain opportunities across the network.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with Demand Planning, Warehouse, Purchasing, and Production teams to meet supply objectives.
  • Supporting and contributing to the monthly S&OP cycle to align demand, supply, and inventory strategy.
  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives using data insights, reporting, and root cause analysis.
  • Provide training and guidance on inventory management best practice, systems and strategy.

About You

  • Degree in Supply Chain/related field or proven experience in inventory management, materials planning or supply chain optimisation within a complex environment
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems and solid understanding of inventory principles including stock turns, forecasting, and supply planning
  • Advanced analytical and Excel skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing teams paired with strong stakeholder engagement
  • Conflict and negotiation skills
