Supply and Demand Planning Manager South America

We are looking for a Supply and Demand Planning Manager South America to join our team in Colombia.
Your role
In this position, you will act as the regional lead for Supply and Demand Planning and Customer Service in South America, while also taking ownership of the end-to-end supply chain process for the Colombia business.
You will play a key role in ensuring high service performance, strong cross-functional alignment, effective inventory management, and continuous improvement across planning and logistics operations.
Your responsibilities
Regional Supply and Demand Planning
- Lead demand planning and forecasting for the Independent Aftermarket and Heavy Duty & Industrial business through a structured Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning process.
- Drive stock keeping unit rationalization and portfolio optimization in close collaboration with the Sales team.
- Build and maintain a demand planning process focused on sustainable inventory management and profitable sales growth.
- Establish and lead a monthly demand and supply planning cadence to anticipate business needs across a 12–18 month horizon.
Inventory and Material Planning
- Lead a team of supply planners to manage distribution center inventory targets and material planning.
- Ensure appropriate inventory levels for finished goods and trading goods to minimize customer backorders and support service targets.
- Monitor and improve relevant planning and inventory performance indicators, including KPI49.
Customer Service Leadership
- Lead the Customer Service teams in Brazil, Argentina, and Colombia.
- Ensure proactive and consistent regional communication with customers.
- Manage customer relationships and scorecards to achieve target delivery performance, especially On Time In Full (OTIF).
Colombia Supply Chain Management
As part of the local scope for Colombia, you will lead the end-to-end supply chain process with focus on:
- Material flows, including management of the third-party logistics provider for goods receipt, picking, and customer delivery
- Logistics cost management, including freight, warehousing, staffing, and equipment
- Continuous improvement of operational efficiency, service levels, and cost performance
Your profile
Education
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a comparable field
- Specialization in Logistics is preferred
Experience
- Proven experience in leading, managing, and developing teams in a large multinational production environment
- Strong background in supply chain planning, inventory management, customer service, and logistics operations
Skills
- Excellent intercultural communication skills, both written and verbal, including presentation skills
- Strong problem-solving and issue-resolution capabilities
- High level of attention to detail
- Empowering leadership style with a clear focus on delivering results through teams
- Self-driven, well organized, and able to manage priorities effectively
- Good knowledge of information technology tools and enterprise resource planning processes, ideally SAP
Languages
- English and Spanish are mandatory
- Portuguese is a strong plus
