Job Overview

Identifies the specifications and requirements of the tools and recommends revisions in the design or fabrication, materials, and production processes.
 

Job Requirements

  • Handling & Maintenance of INJECTION MOLD TOOLS.
  • Root Cause analysis of the problem & taking appropriate actions to eliminate the same.
  • Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments such as Calipers, Gauge blocks, Micrometers, dial indicators, VMS, Tool maker Microscope, Trimos height gauge, profile projector etc.
  • Involvement with cross functional teams to implement corrective & preventive actions for tool correction issues.
  • Maintaining documents as per TS16949 requirement. Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings.
  • Expertise in specialized Tool defects solving and stabilization & moving for production.
  • Capability of handling machines such as Surface grinding, Lathe, Milling, Drilling, Ultrasonic cleaning.
  • Responsible for quality Improvement & control.
  • Conduct trial runs and modifications to achieve required product quality.
  • Identify and resolve tooling-related issues to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality procedures.

Critical Experience

  • Overall, 2 to 4 years of experience in Mold Maintenance.
  • Proficiency in handling connector type of molds will be added advantage.
  • Responsibilities include shop floor discipline, maintaining 5S activities, and following company policies.
  • Facilitate and control timely mold handed over to production as per plan.
  • Thorough knowledge in handling Hot-runner molds.

Education and Knwledge

  • Diploma in Tool & Die Making from a reputed Institute.
  • Knowledge about various phases of Mold manufacturing process.
  • In-depth knowledge on handling & different categories of mold.
  • Basic knowledge Engineering & specialty plastics NYLON, PBT, PPO, PPS, LCP, PC, POM, ABS, and PPA, HDPE.
  • Knowledge and experience about production systems & tools like Kaizen, Standardization of work.
