We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Technical Assistant Manager – Cash and Liquidity Management, Market Operations.
In this role, you will:
- Provide best in class Cash & Liquidity Management funding process
- Provide leadership and customer service to all, both top and lower Management, consistent with Group and Company policies and standards. Working as a cohesive team member, working in a supportive team environment driven by people centric values.
- Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
- To drive the implementation of Group Compliance Policy in conjunction with financial regulators to which the trade and reconciliations are based.
- Understand Management Information requirements and produce Weekly and Monthly MI reports for Management.
- Ensure escalation procedure is being observed and any unresolved issues are escalated to Manager in a timely manner. 100% Compliance with DIMS during desk review.
- Ensure knowledge retention in the team by reinforcing risk and control concepts through continuous staff training and mentoring.
- Management Information (MI) - maintain agreed MI data and communicate it accurately with supporting statistics/reports/dashboards and within agreed timeframe
- Problem situations are proactively identified, resolved and escalated to give maximum customer satisfaction, most importantly to the Front Office.
- Customer issues are handled sensitively and receive full consideration. Situations are resolved effectively retaining goodwill of customer. Appropriate measures are taken to improve quality and prevent recurrence.
- Actively participate in 360 degrees, working group, BAU meeting and appropriate forums
- Provide feedback to AVP on possible client engagement initiatives.
- Periodical MI submitted accurately and in line with customer and business needs.
- Consistently monitor client engagement across teams and establish good working relationship across departments. Lead the bi-monthly call with stakeholders and quality issues.
- Encourage and monitor team member to consistently maintain a high level of customer service
- To lead innovation and change within their respective teams and to inculcate a positive environment where team members feel encouraged to contribute and drive improvements within the process.
- To provide support for any ad-hoc project to the Head of Operations and Operation teams for any work involving collation, analysis, forecasting and budgeting relating to Operational data.
- To create a robust team environment where skills, knowledge and best practices are openly shared to achieve individual, team and business goals.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

A degree in banking / financial / management / business administration / accounting exposure

A working knowledge of Global Markets processes and trade lifecycle
-
A working knowledge of regulatory reporting would be advantageous

Sound knowledge and understanding of the Nostros Funding process and CMS Systems

Strong understanding of MI reports

Ideally 2+ years tenure within an Investment Banking Operations environment, exposure to Cash Management, Cash Services Operations and/or FX Operations functions

Good knowledge and understanding of Nostros Funding Process, Payment and Foreign Exchange.

Ideally 3+ years tenure within Global Banking and Market Operations environment or Payment.

Possess knowledge on MS Office and with good numerical and analytical

Abilty to manage good relationships across mutiple business lines and GBM Hubs

Ability to problem solve, articulate requirements and implement change .

Strong leadership and teamwork skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
