Position Overview:  Our client operates a unique and exceptional museum in Brussels that blends technology and creativity, offering immersive experiences. The Technical Facilities Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of productions within the venue, ensuring that lighting, sound, video, and special effects are  executed smoothly, safely, and to the highest standards. This role requires an individual with a deep understanding of theatre production, exceptional leadership abilities, and a strong technical skill set. The Technical Facilities Supervisor is the go-to person for all technical faults and changes. 

Key Responsibilities:  Technical Planning & Coordination:  - Collaborate with the Director, Production Manager, and other key team members to ensure technical requirements are understood and met for each production.

  • Oversee the installation of technical equipment, ensuring everything is functioning to meet production needs. Supervision of Technical Crew:  - Manage a team of technicians during production and swapover periods.  - Monitor the performance of the technical team, providing guidance, troubleshooting, and support as needed. Technical Equipment & Maintenance:  - Maintain, repair, and upgrade technical equipment, including lighting rigs, sound systems, video systems and special effects.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and that all technical equipment is properly  serviced and checked regularly.
  • Maintain inventory of all technical materials and supplies. Health & Safety:
  • Ensure that all technical operations are carried out in accordance with health and safety  regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments in collaboration with operations for each production to identify  potential hazards and implement strategies for mitigation.
  • Ensure that all technicians are trained in safety protocols and proper handling of technical  equipment. Technical Design & Implementation:
  • Oversee the implementation of lighting, sound, and special effects during rehearsals and  performances. Post-Production:
  • Supervise the dismantling and storage of technical equipment and sets after each  production.
  • Provide a debrief to assess the technical elements of the production and identify areas for  improvement.
  • Assist with the development of any post-production technical work, such as repurposing  materials or upgrading systems.
