Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Value Stream Manager. The position will be based at our facility in Cleveland, TN. We are offering relocation assistance for candidates who reside within the United States. 

The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:

The Value Stream Manager (VSM) is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end made-to-stock value stream at the Cleveland, TN plant. This position is accountable for managing the flow of work from production scheduling through finished goods delivery, ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and on-time performance.

In addition to driving continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives, the Value Stream Manager serves as the direct supervisor for hourly production employees, providing day-to-day leadership, coaching, and performance management. The role partners closely with the Operations Manager to execute strategic initiatives, meet operational targets, and build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the value stream."    

Job Responsibilities:

  • Jointing own end-to-end performance of the Made-to-Stock value stream, with accountability for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagement.
  • Act as the primary decision-maker for assigned value streams and serve as a backup to the Operations Manager as needed.
  • Manage production flow from scheduling through finished goods delivery to ensure efficient, predictable outcomes.
  • Directly supervise and develop 20+ hourly production employees across relevant processes.
  • Provide daily floor leadership, including prioritization of work, performance coaching, attendance management, and enforcement of standard work.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement through regular communication and engagement.
  • Develop and maintain current-state Value Stream Maps to understand material, information, and process flows; identify waste, bottlenecks, and constraints.
  • Create future-state value stream maps using Lean principles to define improved workflows, capacity planning, and operational standards.
  • Lead implementation of future-state improvements, including process changes, equipment or technology enhancements, and policy updates.
  • Analyze operational data (throughput, labor efficiency, downtime, scrap, etc.) to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with Supply Chain (materials, planning), Engineering, Quality, and Marketing to align resources and resolve dependencies impacting productivity and delivery.
  • Partner with Engineering and CI teams to support new product introductions, process validations, and technology implementations.
  • Track, report, and communicate key value stream metrics through daily management systems, tier boards, and KPI reviews.
  • Present value stream performance, improvement initiatives, and results in leadership forums including Operations Reviews, Plant Staff meetings, and customer visits.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum experience 3 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of Lean principles and Agile methodologies; experience in managing end-to-end production processes
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited institution.
