Virtualized Platform Administrator 

Main Mission: ensure optimal operation, availability, and performance of the VATES / XCP-ng virtualization platform.

Responsibilities

•   XCP-ng pool management: hosts, hypervisors, virtual networks, SR

•   VM monitoring and resource optimization (CPU/RAM/IOPS)

•    Automation through Xen Orchestra, Vates API, or scripts (Python/Bash)

•    VM lifecycle management (creation, migration, snapshots, HA)

•     HA setup, live migration, cluster optimization

•     Participation in deployments, hypervisor patching, and orchestrator updates

•     Collaboration with storage team (NetApp provisioning)

•     Level 2/3 virtualization incident resolution

•     Hypervisor network management

Key Skills

•   XCP-ng hypervisors, Xen Orchestra, Linux

•   Scripting (Bash/Python)

•   SR knowledge (iSCSI / NFS / Storage Repos)
