Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Oversee daily inbound/outbound logistics/warehouse activities including receiving, put‑away, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns.
- Optimize warehouse layout, storage systems, and workflow to enhance productivity.
- Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment in line with customer and production requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation for inbound and outbound shipments.
Vendor and Customer Relations:
- Liaises with transport companies, suppliers, and customers to ensure timely delivery and resolve issues.
Budgeting and Reporting:
- Manages budgetary targets and generates daily/weekly reports on warehouse productivity, performance metrics, and inventory data.
Inventory Control
- Maintain accurate inventory levels through regular stock counts, audits, and proper record-keeping to prevent loss.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Coordinate with procurement and production teams to align stock availability with demand.

People Management
- Supervise, train, and develop warehouse staff.
- Motivates warehouse personnel creates work schedules, and allocates labour resources to meet operational targets.
- Conduct performance evaluations and address disciplinary issues when necessary.

Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Enforce workplace health and safety procedures.
- Maintain warehouse equipment and coordinate preventive maintenance.
Process Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
- Lead initiatives to reduce handling time, improve accuracy, and enhance warehouse KPIs.
- Optimizes warehouse space utilization, workflow, and equipment efficiency, ensuring proper maintenance of machinery like forklifts.
Reporting
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.
- Track KPIs such as order accuracy, picking efficiency, inventory accuracy, and WH throughput.
- Communicate operational issues and recommendations to management.
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of warehouse or logistics experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
- Experience with ERP/WMS systems. Knowledge of SAP will be an advantage.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory methodologies (FIFO, LIFO, FEFO).
- Strong understanding of material handling equipment.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
