Job Description -
- Ideal candidate would have managed Wi-Fi environments for medium/large enterprise customers and have extensive knowledge of enterprise Wi-Fi clients and operations.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco Wireless technologies and access point configurations, deployments, network automation, and management on Cisco Catalyst Center.
- Extensive deployment knowledge on Cisco 9800 series WLAN controller.
- Experience with Aruba Mobility Conductor (8.x) for network automation and management.
- Experience performing LAN & WLAN hardware infrastructure changes (layer 2/3)
- In-depth understanding of troubleshooting Cisco layer 2/3 configurations.
- Understanding of L3 routing protocols used in enterprise environments (BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP)
- Proficient in designing, deploying, and managing Cisco Software-Defined Access (SDA) fabrics, including underlay and overlay network configuration, VXLAN encapsulation, LISP control plane, and policy enforcement using Cisco Catalyst Center for automation and segmentation.
- Experience with Ekahau Site Survey tools for wireless network planning and validation.
- Hands-on experience with AP-on-a-stick testing methodology.
- Basic understanding of Wireless authentication via ISE
- Understanding of network discovery, device inventory, and network hierarchy design.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel
- Experience using Jira (or alternate) agile project management tool
- Experience with the Change Management process
