Job Summary

The employee will follow direct instructions from the YP Manager, and the YP Family Companion and support them in supervising the children, and the implementation of reading and social and emotional exercises. Job responsibilities also include helping students with their homework and communicating with the children’s parents.  Spanish is not mandatory, but is preferred.

Job Requirements

•    Education: Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, human services, or another related field is preferred or High School Diploma or GED equivalent with at least 1 year of experience in volunteer management and education.
•    Bilingual (oral and written) Spanish and English. This is not mandatory, but is preferred
•    Teaching experience or community/group development experience with students and families

Pre-Employment Screening 
All candidates receiving an employment offer must submit a pre-employment screening. The screenings will include criminal background check and other background checks (as needed), Family Care Safety Registration, drug screen, an employment and education or licensure/certification verification, and Covid-19 and Influenza vaccination. Various positions will require physical examination, Tuberculosis screening and Hepatitis A. All offers are contingent upon successful completion of required screening.
