Job Summary

The Youth Program Family Companion-Volunteer Liaison will support children with homework, improving their reading abilities, and social and emotional growth. Job responsibilities also include applying assessment tools and data management in Salesforce for grant reporting purposes.

The Youth Program Family Companion-Volunteer Liaison will support children with homework, improving their reading abilities, and social and emotional growth. Job responsibilities also include applying assessment tools and data management in Salesforce for grant reporting purposes. 

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, human services, or another related field with experience through employment or volunteerism in child education. Having work experienced is preferable, but not mandatory.
•    Bilingual (oral and written) Spanish and English. This is not mandatory but is preferred.
•    Teaching experience or community/group development experience with kids and families.

Pre-Employment Screening 
All candidates receiving an employment offer must submit a pre-employment screening. The screenings will include criminal background check and other background checks (as needed), Family Care Safety Registration, drug screen, an employment and education or licensure/certification verification, and Covid-19 and Influenza vaccination. Various positions will require physical examination, Tuberculosis screening and Hepatitis A. All offers are contingent upon successful completion of required screening.
