Project Overview:

Coroccohuayco Project:

Located in the Espinar region of Cusco, Coroccohuayco is part of the extension plan for the operations of the current Antapaccay mine, one of the most important copper deposits in the country. The project consists of the development of the engineering and construction of the mine facilities around the new Coroccohuayco open pit that include a primary crusher, a conveyor belt and the expansion of the Antapaccay and Tintaya concentrator plants, each of which includes the incorporation of a new ball mill, flotation cells, remilling mills, concentrate filters and energy transmission and distribution systems.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will lead the development of automation tools, templates, and workflows according to the project automation plan. You will customize applications and reports, review test plans and performance curves, and manage output data. Your recommendations will ensure applications comply with engineering work-process and that project requirements align with the availability of data.

Major Responsibilities:

Level 1:

Establishes and administers Engineering applications on the project, includes, but not limited to P&ID, SmartPlant3D, Compass, Agile etc. Implements the engineering automation tools in accordance with the project automation plan, designing/developing workflows, forms, and templates for automation tools
Coordinates with construction, procurement, project controls and other departments to establish automated data transfer between applications
Understands reporting requirements for each application and configures reports accordingly; ensures reports are accurate reflections of the data and are functioning as intended
Collates performance curves, metrics, trackers, and user feedback to show trends, and use in improvements
Reviews output data and prepares engineering report with direction from EGS and PEM.
Provides training and technical support of the suite of Engineering Automation applications, to field engineering, supervision, administration, project controls and other site personnel
Evaluates and coordinates the implementation of new automation modules and tools. Tests and supports data integration of new releases of production software/programs
Customizes applications as required by project, and prepares user guides and training material and delivers training

Level 2

Under minimum supervision, represents Automation Support in response to project reported problems and to situations presented that require diverse and expert knowledge of tools like, Hexagon, S3D, SPR, Smart Sketch, MicroStation, Isometric management etc.
Relates S3D to a particular discipline and giving direction and guidance during the implementation in the project. Should be familiar with best practices.
Apply extensive expertise as a S3D,SPEL, SPI;SPP&ID specialist and has a working knowledge of interrelationship of products
Conform drawings and reports as per project or engineering instructions, perform 3D model data quality checks, provide project leadership team updates on project CAD issues, trouble-shoot user issues, escalate CAD issues requiring additional help, develop CAD instructions, suggest work-process improvements, implementing lessons learnt from previous projects. .
Supports functional initiatives of developing Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), Bechtel Design Guides, appropriate Bechtel Standard Computer Applications (BSAPs) and administrative practices.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Level 1

Typically Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience

Level 2

Typically requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Familiarity with Hexagon (Smart3D, SPID, SPI, SIOP, etc) and other associated (Tekla, Setroute, Inspec) authoring software, including features, functions, and limitations
Working knowledge of at least one of the Engineering software like Smart3D, Tekla, SPI, SPEL, SPF, SDx, INSPEC, and 3D model interoperability
Knowledge of engineering data exchange methodologies – extraction of data from authoring tools, data adaptors, databroker, staging data, use of APIs for data aggregation and distribution
Understanding of Advance Work Package automation requirements for each function
Understands project workflows from design, estimation, construction administration and coordination
Very good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate well in a team environment
Proficient in oral and written communications skills
Ability to manage priorities and take on additional evolving responsibilities.
